My Proverbs Work

Proverbs
A proverb is a short saying , often very old, that contains some piece of knowledge or gem of wisdom useful in everyday life.  Many proverbs are hundreds of years old.  They are so popular that they are used and understood in everyday speech by most people.
Examples:
Too many cooks spoil the broth.
A stitch in time saves nine.

Complete the proverbs.
Here are some familiar and useful proverbs.  Choose the correct words from the list to fill in the spaces.  The first letter of each word have been given to you.
